Can't enable mailboxes in Exchange 2007

Hello,

I have EV 8.01 and Exchange 2007 sp1.  When I choose the option menú -> Enable Mailboxes show me  (when I select "All avaiable mailboxes") "No mailboxes found"
The Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task for (My Exchange Server) and Exchange Provisioning Task for (my domain) are running, without errors.

How I'm able to view that mailboxes?

And I don't view nothing at Archives -> Exchange Mailbox  It is normal?  No archiving nothing?

Thanks, and sorry for my poor English.

Bye.
  • Hi there,

Have you configured the Provisioing Groups (Target > Exchange > Domain > Provisioning Group)?

Having done/selected a specific set of users, run the Provisioning Tasks (Enterprise Vault Servers > Tasks). This collects the data from AD. This normally runs twice a day.

In case you've not selected that mailboxes are enabled for archiving immediately, you ned to use the "enalbe mailbox wizard".

Hope this are three good pointers for you to get going.
    Jochen.

  • Yes, I configured one provisioning group (my account is a only target)

The Provisioning task are running for a few days (the same days of the creation of provisioning group with my account)

I not selected that mailbox are enabled for archiving inmediately, i wanna enable this manually (to see how works).

I created a zero days policy to archive all mails from my own account.

Now I mark at this policy "Automatic Enable Mailboxes" and I wait to response from Provisioning task collecting data from AD.

Thank you for your quick response.

  • is the provisioning task running as the vault administration account? do you have a correct mailbox archiving task configured for the Exchange server that hosts your mailbox? what type of Exchange 2007 environment do you have? is it clustered, a single server with multiple roles installed?
  • What are you getting in the event viewer on the Vault server? (Enterprise Vault log and Application log).

Also are there any errors if you run provisioning in report mode? Can you see that your user is being provisioned?
  • also...check the reports located at: %ProgramFiles%\Enterprise Vault\Reports\Exchange Provisioning to view detailed information about provisioning.
  • Hello,

Yes, the provisioning task are running as the vault administrator account.  We have a Clustered Exchange 2007 environment.  No, we don't installed a single server with multiple roles ... It's necessary?

Today, I can see archiving storage data from yesterday (with one day, twenty four hours) at the vault partition.  I think the problem has resolt ...

    Thank you very much.

  • Hello,

At the event viewer of Vault Server not show any errors, a couple of warnings about backup needed of SQL Database ...

And, not errors if I run provisioning in report mode.  Today I see how my own account is being provisioned ...

    Thank you very much.
  • Right now the tasks are functioning correctly.  The process of filed already shows information in the logs.  It seems to be that should expect 24 hours to see results
    The problem is resolved.

thanks to all by your aid
