Changing email domain
We have been ordered by the CEO to change our email addresses/domain. We are going from @fullcompanyname.com to @shortenedcompanyname.com
What will happen in EV if we do this?

Nothing.
Changing the email domain is an action which basically affects the primary smtp address of the user.
I assume other stuff (AD domainname, User accounts, etc) do not change. You need to remember EV talks to Exchange mailboxes, permissions are set for the useraccount, and shortcuts (and archive explorer/search) use links to EV. If that underlying environment does not change, you have no problems. (been there done that, we changed from having Company.nl, company,be, company.fr etc to company.com
The only thing is that if you use Discovery Accelerator, you need to either use custodian manager, or make sure if you search for emailaddress, you search for both @fullcompanyname.com AND @shortenedcompanyname.com
