Decommission EV server after successful migration

Maybe I am overthinking it. We've been successfully migrated Enterprise Vault more than one month ago from a Windows 2012R2 server to a 2022. We used EV migration Wizard and worked like a charm.

I would be ready to delete the old VM but I am wondering if there's a proper procedure to do it, or I need to just delete the VM.

    Hello, if you used the Server Migration Wizard, the references in the DB have been adjusted to the new server. Additionally, if correct (and if you use), DNS aliasses would also have been adjusted. What I would do is shutdown the 2012 EV server, leave it for a week (or 2). If no alerts, user questions, or other indications that old server is in use, remove it.
