Disable mailbox

When I’m trying to disable an enabled mailbox by Enterprise Vault the process completed successfully but the mailbox still appears as enabled mailbox why ??????
  • Did not think that it would work and have just confirmed this on my test system by following your steps. Do not move the user out of the provisioning group before you attempt to disable as it will not work. SO what you need to do is:-

    1. Disable Mailbox
    2. Remove From Provisioning Group
    3. Run Provisioning Task

Or alternatively just leave the user in the provisioning group once disabled.
  • Are you getting any events in your event log when you perform the disable?

Is it happening to this one user or to other users

  • and to your point, why do you think the mailbox is still enabled?

Can you list out the steps you are doing?
  • the steps :

1- remove the mailbox from the provisioning group
2- run the Exchange Provisioning Task
3- go to the disable mailbox for archiving option
    4- finish the disable wizard.

i have this error in event viewer
