Discovery Accelerator License Key Issue

I am having an issue with the system recognizing my key. I had it working fine yesterday, but had to uninstall and reinstall. Now with the same file name as before the Discovery service does not start. Could the uninstall and reinstall have affected the evsysteminfo? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  • The key for the discovery service need to be in the Program Files\KVS\Discovery Accelerator directory. (if you choose the default.)

  • F:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault. The regular ev services work fine. I forgot how to check to see what mode it is running in. I tried uninstall and re-install and also using a production key thats on another server. I still get the error though.
  • Have you updated versions recently?

We had a problem in our test environment where we upgraded and the keys worked fine, but when we re-installed the keys wouldn't work.

So it appears that an upgrade allows existing keys to work, but when you re-install with a different version than what was originally installed it doesn't work.

We had to get new keys to work with the newer version.

  • Yeah,
Just to be really really clear, you need to have the licesnse file in both the c:\program files\enterprise vault and the c:\program files\kvs.

  • Looks like it worked. There was nothing in the key email to specify any differenance in where to place the key file for DA. But it works. Thanks everyone.
