Enteprise Vault Backups
I have a question regarding backps for enterprise vault. We are currently using 7.0 sp1. We are building a new server and need to run backups. Do we have to have the Backup Exec agent for Enteprise Vault or is it possible to backup another way. Can anyone point me to some good documentation for backing up the vaults and indexes? Any help or info is appreciated. Thanks.
You dont have to have the agent.

Also, though not targeted for Ev7, there is specific documentation for EV8 most is applicable for EV7 still.

To put at a high level and very basically, backup the following. SQL databases all you need is the SQL agent or backup to file using SQL backups then backup from disk. Backup the file system location of indexes and Vault Store Partitions as well.

- Vault Store Partition Locations
-SQL Databases related to EV.
