Enterprise Vault & Macintosh Clients

I'm looking for a configuration ideas configuring a mailbox policy for machintosh client. We have a policy for our windows users that deletes shortcuts after 4 months. I noticed that if we give a mac user this policy, the short cuts are deleted but they don't have a easy way of getting access to the archived items (Windows users can use Archive Explorer).

 

So is there a best practice or recommended configuration of Enterprise vault for machintosh clients?
