Enterprise Vault 12.1 Verify,rebuild,synchronize task does not start status inactive.

Dear Team,

User mails are missing from user mailbox. due to this issue i decided to do verify,synchronize,rebuild index. but when i am going to start mentined task  I am facing an issue on enterprise vault 12.1 server. when im going to start index verify, synchronize,rebuild task its not processing the task. its showing status inactive and task not processing. i waited for 1-2hours also tried  on a user mailbox but same issue happening. i restarted task and index services too but issue dosent resolve. does any one have suggestion for this?

    Hello Pravin,

    I assume the indexlocations are not in backup mode!

    Is the indexadministration task on the indexserver where the index sits in schedule? If not, can you do a 'run now'?
