SEV version 10.0.3.1090 - as soon as the Netbackup backup starts for the Index Server, CPU spikes to 100% which causes incomplete backups. The following process spikes:
w3wp.exe (IIS Worker Process) EVIndexingPool

Are you setting backup mode on the indexes before making a backup? How often do you backup? Indexes tend to change very frequently. We take a fullbackup of the indexlocations once a week, during backup indexes are in backup. We rely on EV in case of a restore to 'sync' the indexes to the state they should be in if a restore is ever needed.. Not needed sofar :-)
You might even go sofar as to stop the indexing service, then make a backup.
