enterprise vault migration

Hi Tech gurus,

please suggest a best solution for migrating enterprise vault servers 8.0.2 to enterprise vault 10.0.4. existing ev servers =2 one for exchange archiving and one for file server archiving with different enterprise vault directory and needs to migrate to one enterprise vault 10.0.4 server.

    You can't use FSA Utility to move FSA archives from one site to another.  We have a tool call FSA Migrator that can move your FSA Archives across site as long as the destination is EV 10.0.4.

    You can use Move Archive between sites, with caveats:

    If I'm reading correctly you have two separate directory databases.  This will greatly complicate the issue.  In essesse in order to consolicate to a single server you would have to upgrade to v9 on both servers, move the email archives from one site to the other (you can't move file server archives between sites), then build-out a new 64bit server and use the migrate server processes to migrate the environment to the new single server whilst upgrading to EV10.

    The only other option other then what WITSend has recommend it to upgrade your FSA server to EV 9 and then user the EV Server Settings Migration Wizard to move to EV 10 and then use a third-party solution like our Archive Shuttle to migrate the EV 8 Server\Site for Exchange to the EV 10 site.

    It will depend on number of exchange archives to be moved, timing for your project, and budget.

    thanks for the suggestions. is it possible to move file server archives to ev 10.0 stores using fsautility ? 

    is it possible to use move archive feature of Enterprise vault to move email archives to ev server 10.0.  Please suggest.....
