Enterprise vault planning

Hi All,

I asked to create an HLD and LLD for one of our customers which have 

2x Exchange servers with more than 20000 mailboxes

and as per book, each enterprise vault server should only handle 5000 users max 

and only 1x archiving task per exchange server.

how to do it ?

    Hi MorsiSseed,
    I archive 15 000 mailbox, with 3 ev server, but we have 6 mailbox server.
    Each ev server archive 2 exchange server art different time.

    So what I think you should do is 2 server with rum an archiving tasks and X number of indexing server with 5000 index each.
    Without expanding the number of exchange server I don't see what else you can do

    Hello

    It also depends on how the mailboxes are used. Are they all user mailboxes, which do 'average' use of mailbox? Are there many mailboxes which get only a few mails a day/send a few a day? Depending on the mailbox load, you might be able to archive those 2 Exchange servers with two EV servers, but it is tight. If possible, add an Exchange server (or two).
