Error : "The item is offline"

Hello all,

I've attached a screen of this error.

It says:

The item is offline
Enterprise Vault may not be able to display this item's contents

But it then downloads and displays the e-mail on Outlook 2007.

What does it mean? What should I be careful about?

    Are you able to open up nonarchive msg fine? Does this happen only on archive message?

    Hey Bekir,

    Do you use Collect and Migrate on your Vault Store Partition?  Are these items be in a cab file?

    agreed wth tony that it sounds like offline migration to tape or disk via NBU and the like

    Only thing we did was, we closed a partition and opened a new one (did partition rollover).

    All partitions are on disk and we did not migrate anything.

    What is "nonarchive msg"?

    Does it occur for all archived items?

    Can you grab a client trace and add it to your first post?
