error when open the archived mail from lotus notes

Hi expert,

so strange that when i try to open the archived mails from the lotus notes,

it prompted "notes error:you are not authorized to perform that operation Module: EVLAUNCHDOCUMENT, Line:74"

but i have checked the archiving id already gained the enough right to the mailbox.

some mails show "notes error: you are not authorized to perform that operation"

Please help!

  • That is correct. I am refering to the Name and Address book on the (EVDG) Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway. If you open that up the user who is experiencing the issue may not be listed in there. This is a common cause to the issue you are seeing but not the only cause.

If the user experiencing the issue is not listed in the Name and Address book on the EVDG then you will have to replicate the Name and Address Book from the Hub server.

From the domino console on the EVDG:

    "pull hubservername/dominodomain  names.nsf"

Or for example   "pull server1/symc names.nsf"   (without the quotes)

Once you do that give it another try and it should work.

If the Domino admins already set up replication on a schedule then the issue may have resolved itself.

If not then go back to dtracing the the process I mentioned earlier.

  • Hi,

Is this a new install?  Did it used to work and now doesn't?

What version of EV?  What version of Domino and Notes?

  • You will see that a lot if the NAB has not been replicated to the EVDG.

OPen up the NAB on the EVDG and ensure the affected user has a person document listed.

  • You'll also want to grab a dtrace of nServer, storageonlineopns, and directory service.

  • Hi Tony,

yes new install, no it does not work before.

    8.5.2 lotus domino, fp2

    ev 10
