EV 10.0.3 Backup Mode

Hi All,

Just want to confirm that backup mode is still has to be applied on vault stores and index locations during the backup.

Or maybe it depends on the backup software that is in use.

    Hello Anna,

    Backup mode is still required for consistent backups. You should set backup mode in Vault Stores and Indexes and take a backup of the VS/Index data plus the Enterprise Vault databases in SQL server. Take a look at this technote for more details on the SQL side:

    Usually you (or the backup software) should put the vault stores, and index locations in backup mode. That hasn't changed ..
