EV 10 index

Is it necessary to manualy create new Index after upgrading from EV 9 to EV 10?

  • No need to create a new index path, unless you choose to do so. EV will use the existing index root path. When upgrad to ev10, 32 bit index volumes of the archives will be closed and 64 bit index volume will be created on the existing indexVolume path. Have a look below for more info.

  • What do you mean? Convert the indexes from 32 to 64 bit? Create new index root paths?
  • Do we need to create new index root path? or does this happen automatically after the archiving task is started in EV 10?
