EV 8.0 SP 1 problem with deleted messages...
Hi,
Problem:
When user go Outlook -> archive explorer and deletes a messages clicking the right button of mouse, the message is deleted from view... after clicking refresh the deleted messages is viewed again... Why is that?
If one opens IE link http://localhost/enterprisevault/archiveexplorerui.asp the deleted messages are not shown...
User has refreshed the vault cache and I rebuild the indexes of the vault... This did no difference..
Why is it showing in Outlook -> archive explorer but not in IE link http://localhost/enterprisevault/archiveexplorerui.asp?
Any ideas?

Due to several caching mechanisms (for instance on the client [IE cache]) and also on the server (IIS cache) it can happen that deleted messages are shown for another 24h until they are dropped from every cache.
You could do the follwoing:
- Delete IE cache on the Users PC
- Run an IISRESET on the EV Server (careful - this will result in EV downtime for 1-2 Minutes untill the IIS services are up again)
- Open the archive explorer, browse to the folder which might sill contain the item, right click on the right side (containing the items) and select refresh
You now should not see the item any more
