I was wondering if anybody knows of any known issues in relation to enterprise vault 9.0.4 running on windows server 2008 R2 SP1 platform. We're going to perform a server upgrade from Win 2008 R2 to SP1, and just want to make sure if there are any issues that can arise by doing so.

No, I just follow the installation guide. All smooth. Sorry for the delay.
I have not done an inplace upgrade of SP1 but you should be ok. It is supported via the Compatibility docs.
Our Enterprise Vault server is installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. I just followed the installation guide no extra tweek where needed, I installed the EV on top of Windows 2008 R2 already with the SP1, did not upgrade.
