EV 9.02 Administration Console on Windows 2008 SP2 Terminal Server

Hi Guys,

 

We are currently using EV 9.02 Server and would like to install the administration console only to Windows 2008 SP2. However, I can only have Operations Manager component during the installation. How can I instal the EV administration console on Windows 2008 SP2 Terminal Server?

    Enterprise Vault components are NOT supported on Windows 2008 32 bit.. check the Compatibility Guide for more info (see page 11-12)

    first, see page 108 of Installing_and_Configuring.pdf for the prerequisites for a standalone Enterprise
    Vault Administration Console

    then, run an admin command prompt and run this command: change user /install

    last, run the setup.exe and you should be good to go.

    also, if you're not using english interface there was someone else on this board who solved their issue by switching to english interface in order to install the VAC.

    Yes, I have followed the document to setup everythings but it has only Operations Manager components to install during the setup....

    hmm I have a "spare" Windows 2008 R2 box that I can try this on...

     

    Is it 2008 R2 ?

    that's really odd. wouldn't/shouldn't the deployment scanner catch that? it's the first thing that runs when you start setup.exe...

    Well, Deployment Scanner for EV 9.0.2 reports :

    .. that's against Windows 2008 SP 1 x86 admitedly.

     

    Remember that with EV 9, "proper" Deployment Scanner doesn't run .. only a mini-version.

    I also only get Operations Manager when I run "normal" setup (that could be because of missing IIS components on my test machine though).

     

    Either way, I think this is all set, right?

    Thanks guys..It means that I cannot install the Administration console on the Windows 2008 32bit sad
