Ev Indexing not working

Hi,

 

1. I need your help for indexing not working, some mails are showing and some mails not showing while search in outlook 2010 and 2007

what i can check on client side??

2. Please give me download link for outlook 2013 add-in

We are using EV 10.

Please help

    To be clear.  Enterprise Vault is not involved in searching all that mail ... it's Outlook.

    You can even try uninstalling the Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-in .. those mails + shortcuts (which are also just mails) should be indexed by Windows/Outlook, and should be searchable.

    Thank you very much for your reply I am able to search via above link but I am unable to search in outlook.

    There are 13 mails in one folder ev is showing me only 6 mails only.

    Note: My windows search service is disabled.

    Well, I imagine if Windows Search is disabled, then that will be the reason why some/all items aren't appearing?

     

    I've not tested that recently, but, it sounds likely to me.

    it is supporting to outlook??

    You know it's working from the EV server point of view because you used the URL which takes you outside of Outlook.

     

    Why the items aren't showing in Outlook Instant Search is *probably* because your windows search service isn't running.

    Thanks you sir for confirmation ev is working by URL, Is it Enterprise vault indexing is depending on windows search for outlook?? My other system is hosted on Citrix XenDesktop which Windows 7 is installed with google desktop and Windows search service also stared, we are facing same issue like mails not some mail not indexing.

    No, Enterprise Vault Indexing has nothing to do with the indexing on the client side.

    Also remember that when using Outlook Instant Search ONLY the subject, and the first (about) 120 characters of the message body will be searchable.

     

    So ..  what searches are doing in Outlook?  Are you searching from a folder in the mail, or are you going in to Virtual Vault and searching from there?  Need more details really..  exact steps, and so on.

    Thanks you sir, windows search service is started on Citrix XenDesktop installed windows 7

    We are facing same issue some mails are not indexing, what to do??
