EV10 Migrations to NetBackup

Hi

Can anyone tell me if EV10 migrations to NetBackup 6.5 was ever a supported option?

I know from an NBU point of view that Symantec no longer support NBU6.5 in any shape or form, but I'm more looking to see if my understanding of the compatibility matrix is correct. I can see that EV9 was supported for migrations to NBU6.5 so does that imply that EV10 is too? EV10 only shows 7.1 so I suspect the answer is no but thought I'd ask for clarification as it may have been suported in the past. 

My customer is planning to upgrade their NBU at some point but would rather not accelerate their upgrade simply to cater for the EV compatibility is it isn't strictly necessary.

Is anyone actually successfully doing migrations to NBU6.5 from EV10? my customer isn't concerned about the 'it'll work but Symantec won't support it' aspect as Symantec won't support any of the NBU environment currently anyway.

    looks like this has gone unanswered for a long time. the general consensus is to avoid ev migrations to nbu in the first place and we've discussed the cons in detail in other posts. but the topic you're asking about is pretty straight forward - no it's not compatible or supported unless it's in the documentation. the strong recommendation would be dont do it.

    Yeah - that's pretty much what happened. Essentially didn't do it as it was not documented as a supported option. I'll probably implement it once the NBU has been upgraded to a decent level.
