Event 3487 - The mailbox will not be processed again on this archiving run because there were errors with too many individual items.

Hi guys,

 

i have one problem with out Ev 11 server.

Each night start the archiving task on 2 exchange 2013 server.

the morning , in the event viewer, it's logged the warning with EVENT 3487

 

The mailbox will not be processed again on this archiving run because there were errors with too many individual items.

    Hi, 

    For other customer affected by the aforementioned warning the change of 'maximum number of items per target per pass' from 1000 to 5000 has helped to suppress the warning from occurring.

    You could give it a try while you plan the upgrade to EV 12.0

    Hello, 

    I haven't had any chances to test the above scenario in EV 12, but according to the internal documentation this now should be fixed in EV 12.

    FWIW, EV 12 beta is over and GA is about to be released.

    Hi, 

    the failure is still in EV 11.0.1 CHF 4.

    Can someone of the EV 12 beta tester confirm that this failure is solved in the new version?

    Hi,

    now i got feedback from the symantec support.
    This isn´t a real failure. It is only a display failure.
    This problem only occurs, if your archiving task is based on age and quota.
    The failure may occur when zero items were archived from the mailbox.
    The failure may also occur when the mailbox is processed more than once (passes of mailbox > 1) during one archiving task and the last pass didn´t archive any items.

    The support didn´t know when this display error will be fixed.
    The case is now closed.
