EVSVR - Repair

We are running EV 9.0.1 and after running EVSVR in verify mode have identified out of 22 milion vault items, 50,000 are orphaned, the verify took 5 days to complete.  We are not in a position to take the vault down or stop it archiving for 5 days; does anybody know if when running EVSVR with the repair switch does the program run a full pass on the database identifying the orphaned items and then after identifying them repairing them? or does the program find and repair/remove orphaned items as it goes through the database?

    I actually put in an idea request for this ages ago where it could use the report to go and specifically repair those items it found, it didn't get anywhere though, you can find the idea and upvote it here if you want

    All i can suggest is if you have a chunk of items that genuinely need repairing, narrow it down in vault store partition and by date range as possible.

    Cheers JW2, so I can narrow my search/repair down to just the months I know have the issue, thats helpful.  If we put the stores into backup mode on a Friday night and run a repair over the weekend for a selected date range we know needs repairing, if the repair hasn't finished by Monday morning can I assume we can stop EVSVR, removed the backup mode and let the server continue archiving during the working week and then restart EVSR the following Friday for the same date range and it will pickup where it left off?

    In the scenario, it will still start at the beginning of the range, however it would get to the problem sections faster since it would have repaired some data in the previous pass.
