Exchange Archiving Report

Hello,

I have a few questions about the Exchange Archiving Report.

1. Future Eligible Items

a. What is the purpose of this column? I have a customer who is concerned that they have a number of users with fairly substantial Future Eligible Items and they are worried that there is something broken in EV. Under what circumstances would a file be listed as "Future Eligible"?

2. Pending Items

a. What does it mean by total number/size of pending items in the mailbox. In this instance what do they mean by pending items? Does it have anything to do with pending items that exist after an archiving run as run?

Cheers,

Cameron Mottus

  • 1/ It basically means items in the mailbox which will be eligible (if not deleted or whatever) in the near future, based on the current mailbox archiving policy.

2/ It's the number of items which are archive pending (i.e. waiting for backup before turning into full shortcuts) at the end of the archiving run (including items which may have been pending before the run).
