Failed to create a Product object

Hello everyone,

I got this error in a fresh EV 10.0 install, just after a reboot, when I was trying to run the Configuration Wizard, I got "Failed to create a Product Objetct Class not registered"

I couldn't found any information at Symantec KB about this kind of error, can any one help me ?

The OS is Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter

    So from the sounds of things the EV DLL's were not registered correctly during the installation.

    I would recommend an complete uninstall, reboot, and then try the installation again.  If you have the same failure then take a look at the Installation log.

    You could also try C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\FileReRegister.bat as well
    If neither work, you could attempt dtracing RunDLL32 and start the configuration again.

    Also have a look at your SYSTEM logs to see if there were any errors instantiating a COM or DCOM object as well

    Thanks for the replies! I tried the to re install and solved my problem.
