Is there a tech doc that explains Domino provisioning in Domino designer and admin terms...

Is there a technote of some kind that explains exactly, in detail, what EV does to a user's mail file when provisioning is initiated?  We will need to work out some issues with mail template customizations and I need to know what EV is doing when it enables a user's mail file.
