Merging Vault Stores

Hello all,

In the proces of restructuring our environment (see previous posts) I think there might be a need to lessen the no. of mbx archving servers.

Obviously there are stores with archived items on each mbx server.
Is there a (simple) way of merging the stores? Moving an x-number of archives to server a  and an x-number of archives to server b?

Anyone ever done this before?

    Hi Michel,

    You certainly are earning point on your replies ;-))

    I heard that in EV8.0 SP2 there will be a possibility to move an archive. Although we have >70.000 archives, that probably will be used. Investigations to follow.

    A commercial solution is probably not an option.
    But, I'll have a look and see what I can do.

    I don't think there is another way to do this at this granularity level. What you *could* do, is just USL an archiving server to another one, and decomission it. But this only works as a whole server, and not on Archive level / Vault Store level. The manual way would be to export the user, delete it on the old server, and import it on the new one. But of course you would probably have orphaned shortcuts / double shortcuts and so on. Cheers Michel
