Is it possible to use the federated search from Microsoft Search Server 2008 to retrieve search results from the Enterprise Vault (v 8.0 SP2)?
If yes, where can I find information on how to configure the federated search location?
If no, are there any SharePoint web parts available that can be used with Search Server 2008?

Simple really no and no ;) You would need write something yourself or get a third party to write an part for you.
