Moving the server 'Cache' location?
Hi,
EV 9 and I have a need to move the location of the server cache location. I know I can change this in the server properties, Cache tab.
Can I just specify a new location here? Should I move the existing folder? Do I need to pre-create the folder and set any permissions in advance?

I'm pretty sure your ok changing the location on the tab you specified and then restart the admin service.
EV should see the change and move anything it needs upon restart, at which point you will be left with an empty folder on the old cache location.

Take a look at the help button under the Cache tab in the Enterprise Vault server properties:
If you change the cache location, the data in the old location is no longer available to Enterprise Vault. You can copy the data to the new change location or delete it. If you do not copy the existing data, then Enterprise Vault will need to recreate it.
If you decide to copy the data to the new cache location, first stop all the Enterprise Vault services, then create the new location and copy the data. Then, you can then restart the services.
