Offline Vault - enable single user

I understand that it is possible to enable an Offline Vault for a single user by adding the OVenabled registry key. This does not seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

EV 6.0 SP2
Windows Server 2003

Thanks

Yes. Offline folders have been enabled.

My confusion may lie in what needs to be done on the Exchange Mailbox policy. Does anything need to be enabled or set here for the registry key to work?

    Thanks
  • The policies are just setting up the Offline Vault defaults settings and whether or not the user will have the Offline Vault options available to them.

To enable OV for a user, go to their desktop, start Outlook offline, then go into Tools, Enterprise Vault and click on Offline Vault. From there you should be able to enable OV.
  • This document may also provide some assistance with getting offline vault configured.

  • Does the user have the offline vault client installed?
If so, in outlook simply go to the tools menu, you should see a menu item called enterprise vault and choose offline vault settings. Select the use offline vault to enable the offline vault
