Outlook 2007/Windows 7 Enterprise Vault Sync Issue

Hi

We have had number of sync issues reported by users using Windows 7/ Outlook 2007 with Symantec Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-in v 9.85169

The initiating a manual sync from the client, it displays that it connects sucessfully, but after approximately 5 mins it fails

I have captured the logs from the client (with maximum tracing) Note that I removed client details (see attachment)

 

Can anyone advise on what is causing this issue & how to proceed in resolving this issue

  • The call to ListArchives.aspx is failing due to an error on the EV server. Try DTracing w3wp on the EV server when a sync attempt is being made. Search the trace for ListArchives to hopefully get more information on the problem.

  • Hi I asked my support team (that look after the server) to run a dtrace as request - whilst running a sync from the clienpc, but I cant see anything obvious (see attachment) - any help much appreciated

  • It looks like you are getting 500 errors on ListArchives.aspx (Internal Server Error).  This may be related to a configuration issue with IIS.  What is the full IIS code in the IIS log (Ex. 500 0 0)?

    Also, I've seen this related to .net errors.  Are you getting any .net errors or DCOM errors in the event log?
