Planning msi Add-in installation for Linked and instant Clone VMWare enviroment

Greetings everyone!
Stumbled upon the following idea and trying to figure out how should the distribution of Msi should be done in large enviroment where users are using thin clients on their desks and have a Linked Clone VM used as their backbone image (kind of a Golden Image) of their Desks PCs.

Should msi Add-in be installed on Originator VM or the insallation should be done only after.

As per worflow documentation Linked VMs does Read i/o from Disk of "Originator" vm and uses temporary 2 specific disc for Temp and Write I/O
