Pst import - need advice

Hi,

This year we will need to import PST FIles for a customer of us in EVault.
The license will soon be bought, but meanwhile we need some information.
(We already have EV running...)

For giving management an overview of how much time it wil take, can someone give me an idee of time an admin needs for the following ?
Import 1.000 pST-files of average 200 Mb. assuming al the files will simply be given to us on a (big ;-)) disk.

Other info of time-taking, cq cost-aspects are also welcome.

    There is a huge amount of variables not to metion the different the different methods available run at different speeds due to factors like multiple processing threads etc.

    In my opionion the Locate/Collect and Migrate Method would be the best for overall speed and administration. You can also increase the number of threads if you have the processing capactity.

    In terms of size the speed is more based on number of items rather than how big the PST is.  1000 large items equaling 200MB will be quicker than 2000 smaller items.

    Based on roughly 70KB an item with 200MB PST roughly could get anywhere between 8 and 20PST's an hour perhaps.

    You would be best obviously doing this in batches.
