Reoccurring Calender entries

How does EV9.0.2 handle reoccurring appointments?

Will it archive the item if it appears in the future?

If it archives the item that appears in the future, if the orignal item expires will it remove all instances of it?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

  • There are two mailbox polices that pertain to Calendar archiving.

    1. In the vault admin console, expand Policies>Exchange>Mailbox
    2. Double-click the policy in the right pane and choose "advanced"
    3. Under the "archiving general" section there are two policies with the default settings:
Do not archive pending reminders “on”
    Archive unexpired calendar events “off”

    The latter one means:
With the default behavior, archiving will only occur for calendar items for appointments that have occurred in the past.

If you leave the 2  settings to default Ev  will not archive reoccurring items

    refer http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH130640

note : So as long as there is the policy not to archive expired items, recurrent meetings which still have active meetings in the future would not be archived
    - dismissing a recurrent item would only dismiss the current occurrence, and this would not clear the reminder
