Restoring emails

Hi,

Just a quick question;  When you restore an email from EV, does it actually physically take the email and restore it to the users mailbox within Exchange for full control, or does it simply 'pretend' to restore, or make a COPY to their offline cache?

We would like to essentially 'cut and paste' some mail from EV, and place it permanently within their Exchange mailbox.

    The items are COPIED from the archive, back to the mailbox. If you want to permanently de-archive some items then you can do that with the Export Archive Wizard, by selecting this checkbox:

    ... along with a folder path.

      Hi Rob, 

       

      we have a requirement to restore 2000 mailboxes from EV to PST, could you assist me how to automate the restore procedure
