Hi there,
You will have to change the status of the partition you want to write more data on from Closed to Open. Since only one partition in a Vault Store can be in Open state at a given time, the current partition's status will have to be changed to Closed.

Thanks Virgil.
Can they be kept in ready state if we already have existing open partition?
Is there anything else that needs to be considered before setting these partitions in ready/open state?

Assuming you know how to use the automatic roll-over for VSP's.
Set the partitions you want to re-use to Ready. Configure the rollover order on the properties of the Vault Store. As soon as an existing partition is going to be used again, it will change from Ready to Open, and the last used partition will go to closed. You will see folders created in the 'old' partition, with new data written.

Revisiting this to clarify few things about reusing old partitions.
Some of the old partitions had collection enabled so they have Collectory Type as Enterprise Vault on them. But collection is no longer being used on any vault stores.
Can we somehow turn off the collector type on old partitions to reuse them? Or are these unusable unless we are using collection again!

I'm not sure you can disable collection, but if you can't, set the 'collect items when they are older than' to 999 years. That way collection will run, but will not create the cabfiles.
