Server Reboots Itself When Install EV 11

Our group is in the process of testing the file system archiving feature of EV11. When we start the installer, it gets to a certain point and the server reboots itself without warning. We also had this problem when installing EV10 previously and after multiple reboots, we were able to get EV installed but this does not seem to be the case now with EV11. Has anyone else seen this problem? Any help is much appreciated. 

Environment:
 

  • Windows 2008 R2 Standard
  • AV software is McAfee - tried installing while disabled
Enterprise Vault
Information Governance
Installing
Windows Server (2003-2008)

    Can you find the EV Install log?

    Or re-run with logging enabled? http://www.advancedinstaller.com/user-guide/msiexec.html

    is this happening when you install the FSA agent or EV itself? is it happening on all your servers or just one?

    This happens when I try to install EV itself. The reboot happens when trying to install on two different servers.

    i havent seen this before. can you tell at what point during the install it happens? is there anything in the server event logs that might help?

    It's hard to determine at what point it reboots but it gets more than halfway through accordin to the progress bar. The attached filtered event log shows a hardware error whenever the server reboots during install. It's very generic and not too helpful.
