Server Settings Migration Wizard Import Error

We want to migrate an EV 9.0.2 Server on Windows 2003 to a new hardware on Windows 2008 R2 with the new Server Migration Wizard. Everything works good until we try to import the migration file on the new server. We get an error that the VSA password is not valid, but ist is. The OS on both systems is german.

  • So you are logged in on the destination server as the VSA?

You should be able to grab a dtrace of the Server Migration tool using the cmdline. The process to dtrace is ServerMigration.

  • Hi Tony

I found the problem. The ServerMigration looks for the local group Administrators. Because i am using a german OS the group name is Administratoren. After renaming the group the wizard is working.

    Thank you

  • Hi

Did you get a DTRACE? Would be interesting to see it. I've taken a note of this and will feedback to Engineering this end.
