Skype for Business Online archiving

Does anyone have any recent experience with archiving IMs from Skype for Business Online.  The current docs all reference "In place hold", but that feature is being removed by MS.  Looking for any methods, or 3rd party tools to replace the "in place hold" functionality to capture/archive IMs.

    what are you using? as far as i know, the solutions out there rely on the MS hold and don't actually communicate with Skype for Business Online itself like they would with an on-prem IM.

      I haven't migrated to online yet so we're still using Lync servers on-prem with it's inherent archiving to SQL.
