slow performance in PST Migration

i ma using enterprise Vult version Symantec_Enterprise_Vault_10_0_4_R1 instaled on windows server 2008 64 bit

i am use the PST client Driven Migration .. the PST file Stay in Queue long time(PST Submitiion in outlook client ) and when the migration start it take long time to complete i try to migrate PST file size 250 MB it take about 3 hour and 48% only migrated  ..
how can i resolve this problem because the the pst size in my environment at least over than 10 GB

  • Okay, so 50 minutes to migrate the 250 Mb file.  How many items were in that? Remember that in production you will heve multiple files being worked on in parallel, so the ~300 Mb / hour will be much higher.

A good starting point to figure out performance issues is the Performance Guide.  Have a search for that.

  • The best bet is to step back a little bit and do a base line.

Get the PST file on the server, and ingest it into a temporary archive using the Wizard in the VAC.

    How long does that take?

How long does the client take to upload the PST file? You can work that out from the client log file.

  • Dear

i try to copy the PST to EV server it take less than 30 second to copy from Client and Paste to EV server .

and i try to Migrate the PST using PST Migration tools located in EV server it take about 50 min to migrate only 250 MB

where the lcoation of client log that show the time taken to upload to EV server ?

now i am in test enviroment and the orginal pst files more that 10 GB how can i resovle this slow perfromance

    ..
