Specific EVPM query?

Hi All
I have a customer running EV8.0 sp1
I would like to know if it is  possible using EVPM to run a command that will only archive ,from a users mailbox, mail that was modifed on a certain day .For example I only want emails that were modified  on 10 June to be archived .The reason for this unusual request is I have exported data from Ev back to a mailbox ,and now the normal archive run doesnt archive this data due to the archiving criteria now looking at Modified date, and there is too much data to use Store in Vault ...I want the process to be automated  .Any input would be appreciated :)
  • Okay thanks Wayne
I didn't think so ...but it was worth a try :)

Here is another question around this ,using normal Outlook Advanced Find I can see all my emails I need to archive based on the specific Modified data  ,the Store In Vault doesnt work for messages it finds in the Advanced Find Window .Will the Full EV client allow me to Store in Vault or manually archive these emails ?If so then this will be easy ,I can right click and initiate a Store in Vault for these emails
  • Hiya Bruce,

Nope, This is not possible. With or without EVPM.

  • Hiya Bruce,

This cannot be done by using search.

I am pretty sure that advanced find is a type of search folder, and  there is not outlook interface that Enterprise Vault can hook into in order to perform the archive.  So I doubt even if you put an enhancement request in it is even possible.

  • Okay ,yes there is a difference between the Advanced Search and the normal search.Normal search ,the one about the Inbox ,it works fine  but I lose the granular ability for specific seaches.I'll have to manage this one :)
    Thanks for the input

  • What I am saying is Advanced Search is a type of search folder, which cannot be archived.

Please mark this as resolved if i answered your questions..... ;)
  • You could use the IgnoreEVDates reg....

To allow Enterprise Vault to archive the restored items during the next archiving run, create the REG_DWORD IgnoreEVDates in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KVS\Enterprise Vault\Agent. Set the value of IgnoreEVDates to 3 (decimal), then restart the archiving task.

Setting to 3 will ignore both restored date and archived date.

  • John,

Have you been smokin? ;) I think you have missed the point on this one mate, this is totally unrelated to the subject....

  • Narr, I wish I was.. I looked outside the subject.. because Bruce said he did this..

"The reason for this unusual request is I have exported data from Ev back to a mailbox ,and now the normal archive run doesnt archive this data due to the archiving criteria now looking at Modified date, and there is too much data to use Store in Vault"

So the only way to archive them again today, instead of waiting for the mailbox policy to kick in is to set that registry key.  I just had a case like that a few days ago.
