Testing Connection : HTTP connection failed (status 0x12)

Hello all,

When I look at "Vault store information" ( after ctrl+shift+click on a ev button), on the "Testing Connection" i have the following error "HTTP connection failed : https://XXX (status : 0x12).

I try to understand what this error stands for, because I do not find any problem using the plug in.

I'm using Outlook 2010 and EV 9.0.1

Do you have any idea?

  • AFAIK it's the return from a call to this Windows API :

    We've called that as part of trying to connect to the URL that you've obscured.. the connection failed, for some reason, and therefore we show the result code of the above .. it might assist, but only really when used in conjunction with a full client log.  Do you have a full client log of this ?

     

    It does ring bells that there might be a bug around this -- ie some combinations of settings mean it always shows as failed, but it actually works just fine.

    I'll try to post the full client log.
    Rob, did you remember which combinations of settings would always show this test as failed ?
