Unable to retreive from notes archive **Please Help**

Hi all,

EV 7 SP5, Windows Server 2003 Standard

We have encountered a problem on our EV server today with lotus notes archiving.  All users are unable to retrieve archived items.  The client throws an error about "unable to open the NSF database" but the EV server itself throws up the following.

Event ID 41177 No category

Enterprise Vault could not authenticate a Domino user (group resolution failed). The user cannot access personal archives (access denied).

User name: CN=CINDY FRASER/OU=USER/OU=EUROPE/O=MONTGOMERY WATSON@MW

Domain: MW

Error: Error(22812) - Opening database 'Emeaiev1/server/montgomery watson!!names.nsf' (Your certificate has expired)

I notice the bit above that states the certificate has expired, what certificate is this refering to?  The Self Signed cert on the EV server is ok for another 2 months and the same for the Domino mail Servers.  Any Ideas anyone?????

Thanks

Steve

  • Hi Tony

    Thanks for the reply.

The problem is solved and was due to the Notes ID file certificate had expired.  We thought they were given a 50 year expiry but that was not the case.

Once the ID was re-certified full funtionality was restored.

  • Could you verify what version of EV you are using?  I only ask because Domino maibox arciving began support with EV 2007 (also known as EV 7.5)

Also, what is the verision of Notes Client and Domino Server?

One technote for you to look at:
