Hello, after we move our EV databases (EV 8 SP3) to a new sql server 2005, the odbc connection under "SYSTEM DSN" ist still with SQL Server 2000 drivers. Is it necessary to update these connections, especially delete these connections and renew them with the native driver ??
Provided the change has been made in the Enterprise Vault databases then the ODBC connections should be automatically corrected when the services are restarted
Well that didn't happened automatically. So that's my question.
If you go to the properties of each Vault Store and check the database tab, does it need to be updated to the new server name/instance?
the connections point to the new sql server the right way, but with "old" drivers. I've learned, that if you want to use the new features of sql server 2005, you need to use the right drivers.
