Our company is cracking down on security as a result of the OPM hack. All FTP access is blocked, including ftp://ftp.veritas.com. Can you please make downloads available via https links and provide a way to verify downloads have not been tampered with? e.g. a PGP signature
A checksum is provided on the download page for each patch (highlighted below).
Many changes are taking place during the seperation of Veritas from Symantec. There has been discussion regarding the secure download of patches. Look for a new implementation before the end of the year to see if it contains this enhancement.
I have just been informed that patch downloads have been configured to use the https protocol for secure delivery.
