VBS stastus question

Hello,

I have a quick quesiton regarding VBS.  After we create tthe VBS, we setup the dependencies,  if we setup the SG1  depend on SG2 and SG2 depend on SG3 and if we start VBS and if there is any issue with SG2,  can we make SG2 to skip and bring SG1 up? Is there an option on VBS?

  • Hi,

VBS is just a virtual container ... no such option to my knowledge from VBS.

The status of group would depend on type of dependency between the groups ... if the dependency is hard/firm, & if SG2 is not coming up, you would need to resolve issue on SG2 OR you need to unlink the dependency in order to bring SG1 up.

  • This feature is not configuragble in the  VBSs.  You can look into the Recovery Plan feature for this capability (Chapter 23).
