Daily space used by Netbackup

Hello,

  I am new to the netbackup and I am trying to find out how much space netbackup is using everyday. Does anyone know how to find out space used everyday by netbackup?

    HI,

     

    With deduplication that is a little difficult to estimate/calculate. In a normal (non deduplicated) setup you would have X backups that run per day and they take up X GB/TB of space (tape or non-dedupe disk).

    Becuase you're deduplicating you;re getting a getting X GB/TB * dedupe factor, but the dedupe factor varies for each backup taken.

    You could login to the appliance and run the deuplication report,  that would show you the increase/decrease in actual space used. the protected size (assume you didn't have dedupe). Also keep in mind that images expire daily so that complicates as well.
