Failed to Configured Master Server on 5230

Question

HI,I've just done FactoryReset on my appliance, then i do a setup appliance wizard(appliance role as master). Its goes well with no error. But the appliance keep in factoryReset mode. It is saying NBSL is not running. If a reboot doesn't clear this and you are happy to blow away any existing backup images I'd suggest reinstall from an ISO image or USB key.

However these are old unsupported software versions so what Appliance model is this? Also be aware newer Appliance Software won't necessarily install on older Appliance models.

Hi Andrew,I dont have any ISO image or USB key. I tried to download at my.veritas.com but my entitlement id not in their database.Where can i download the ISO image?BTW my Netbackup Appliance 5230Thanks

Appliance ISOs are downloadable via the Veritas Licensing Portal, e.g. see this recent thread https://vox.veritas.com/t5/NetBackup/Addition-of-another-appliance/m-p/832102/highlight/true#M226798

If you believe your entitlement ID is valid but the download is not showing you can log a non-techical support call with Veritas. Alternatively you may be able to get a USB key shipped via a support call if you have current support contract.

On the plus side, 5230 models can be installed with Appliance N2.7.x (NetBAckup 7.7.x) and as far as I know with N3.0 (NetBackup 8.0).
