NetBackup Appliance Web Console - Notification Interval

Good morning and a Happy Thursday to you all.

I'm new to NetBackup and am reviewing our current setup.  Is there a recommended "Notification Interval" for the NetBackup appliances?  Ours is currently set at 24 hours.  Does that mean it's only going to send one notification once every 24 hours?  So, if a hardware error occurs a minute or two after that notice is sent I won't see another one until the next day? Or will it generate an initial e-mail with each "event" and then only send follow up e-mails every 24 hours?
