Readiness Analyzer is not working properly

Hello Everyone,

I would like to ask how to resolve our issue when running the latest Readiness Analyzer on our NetBackup appliance. Our appliance is currently on version 4.1, and we are planning to upgrade to version 5.1.1. However, after installing the Readiness Analyzer, it does not run completely and only displays an output.

This is appliance 5240 model.

See below screenshot:

Thank you.

Kind Regards,
Hei

  • Hello

I am not sure from where you did pull this rpm but the most recent one I see on Veritas website is:
    VRTS_NBAPP_update_ReadinessAnalyzer-8.4.0-1.noarch.rpm

This is the analyzer form the Support of Veritas. We also tried the 8.4.0 and it have the same output.

      See the attachment.

        Hello

OK - so you have case opened with them, right?

There were times that they had to do something manually on the appliance, one day one VRTS engineer edited some script for me and similar issue was gone. If case is not opened - open one please...

  • Hi,
I cloud not find the version which you have posted on the portal, from where you have found that version?!
visit the website which is shared above and upload it to your appliance and try one more time.this time reboot the appliance before you run the utility and make sure you are logged in as admin.
run :list downloaded , does it show the analyzer version?
try to install the analyzer and if it failed again, please do share the log file content if you faced the exact same issue.
as it is mentioned by quebek if you have active support, please open a case with them.

      Hello,

We opened a case regarding this issue, and support recommended removing all Readiness Analyzers and any installers from the appliance, running the list downloaded command to confirm it was clean, rebooting the appliance, and then running the list downloaded command again to verify the analyzer version before attempting to install the version they provided (8.5.0-1). However, the same issue still exists. For reference, we logged in as admin before attempting the installation.

We also tried installing other versions of the analyzer, specifically versions 8.4.0-1 and 8.4.1-1, but the issue persists. Please see the attached file for proof.

      Thanks.
