vmware on 3PAR and peer persistence. Appliance SAN backup?

    We are backing up VMWare with Peer Persistence, using NetBackup Appliances 5240 and 3PAR 8440 all flash arrays, using SAN transport.  Everything works well.

      Yeay, it works fine over SAN here as well. But we need to rescan/reboot appliance if LUN/paths "have moved".

      As far as I know we need som tweaks to the appliance OS to make this path-failover in the Peer-persistance to be automagic. Hence unsupported, but works fine.

    We had Veritas to contact HP for sort out ways of "supportabilty", HP never responded. So we continue to protect these vm's over the LAN. These socalled Hyper-convergenced solutions can often limit your possibilities of making a quite good solution excellent.
